Bizar! Deze Corniche zag ik een paar avonden terug staan achter het hek. De eigenaar was net boodschappen naar binnen aan het brengen, dus toen vroeg ik of ik wat foto's mocht maken. De erg vriendelijke man vertelde mij dat het om een Last of Line editie gaat. De laatste 45 (waarvan bekend) exemplaren van de Corniche ooit gemaakt. Dit zou de 4-na laatste zijn. Nooit gespot. Sterker nog, het eerste exemplaar op Nederlands kenteken op de site! Mijn eerste Corniche is dus gelijk een hele bijzondere. De samenstelling maakt het af. Onder andere een paar details zoals het Spirit of Ecstasy logo in het hout verwerkt, de rode logo's aan de voor en achterkant en de badge met "Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Crewe, England" achter de voorwielen maken het speciaaltje herkenbaar. Dank aan de eigenaar voor de info! - - - Wow! I saw this Corniche a few evenings ago behind the fence. The owner was putting the groceries inside, so I asked if I could take some pictures. The very kind owner told me that it's a Last of Line edition. The last 45 (known) Corniches that were build. This is the fourth to last Corniche. Never spotted before. In fact, it's the first Last of Line edition that's spotted on dutch plates! So my first spotted Corniche is a very special one. The spec finishes it off. A few details show that it's indeed a Last of Line. The Spirit of Ecstasy logo in the wood, the red logo's at the front and back, and the badge which says: "Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Crewe, England" just behind the front wheels.
