I've been experiencing with my camera and going away from the standard "sport mode" shots of driving cars. With mixed results and this Corvette was the first good one. Driving and making shots with delayed shutter isn't easy so I'm sure I will screw up some more. I switched modes around so you see both effects and in sports mode you can see the design of the rims.

I usually go with "Full Auto". It will take awhile to master it but once you do, you will end up with beautiful panning shots.

I've tried that as well, problem with that is that my flash wants to activate all the time. I guess you are using a Canon...with Nikon it doesn't work that well.

Use "Flash Off" if that is an option. Yeah, I use a Canon EOS Rebel T3 with an 18-200mm lens. Canon ftw lol

I would use the Nikon alternative of AV. You just set the ISO and the Aperature and the Shutter automatically adjusts. Makes shooting super simple.

    Sweet spot and catch Steven.
Go for S mode and use a shutter speed around 1/80 to 1/150 if you still want some movement in your shots, the focus on AF-C and your focus point on 10 in the middle, if you need more info just send a pm.

Thanks @MKSpots and @lyon1845 I appreciate the help. Allen I might PM you after this weekend...going to do some experimenting with the settings you told me. I was using 1/40 with this shot, tried another one with it and it wasn't good, went to 1/60 and it was decent. So I will go with 1/80 and see what happens. Thanks again!!!
Thanks @Mazy good to hear from you again!

Beautiful pics! Specially the panning shots. I also like this type of photography, but when I only got one chance to take pictures, I shoot in sport mode in order to avoid the risk of having blurred pics. I use Nikon too :)
